Cloud content collaboration service replaces intranet and extranet to coordinate company communications
APMG-International, the global accreditation and examination institute, has selected Huddle’s next generation content collaboration platform to streamline and coordinate company-wide and external communications. Using Huddle, teams at APMG can securely share and work on content across the organisation’s global network of offices, which stretch from the UK to Australia, as well as external examiners and partner organisations worldwide.
APMG accredits training and consulting organisations worldwide as well as managing certification schemes for professionals, including ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, AgilePM® and Change Management. As such, the organisation needed a central online platform where it could set up both an intranet for employees and an extranet for external organisations, whilst also demonstrating best practice in security.
Huddle’s cloud-based content collaboration platform provides an easy to access intranet for all members of staff at APMG. The service provides the qualifications teams, accreditation teams and services desk with one secure central location for staff announcements, HR documents and references. As an extranet portal, Huddle will be the main source of collateral and information for external examiners, partners and other organisations, enabling them to access important documents and news directly from APMG. The company’s cross-platform log in means that Huddle can be securely accessed from any device, anywhere.
As an examining body holding organisations’ sensitive information, security is essential. All company data must be kept secure and all exam questions must be kept under lock and key. Huddle’s pan-government accreditation at IL2 provides the required level of security for APMG’s content. Every action against a file is tracked and recorded via full audit trails. The content collaboration platform’s permissions and security measures ensure that control of who can access content is in APMG’s hands.
Prior to Huddle, APMG was burdened with a multitude of legacy systems, including SharePoint, which did not integrate or speak to each other. In addition, every update to the systems had to be coordinated by the IT department. Huddle gives APMG the flexibility to update workspaces within their own teams, helping them streamline processes and increase fast and efficient collaboration across the organisation.
